National Spine Network

The National Spine Network (NSN) is a non-profit, integrated spine registry and clinical trial network. Formed in 1994, NSN's members initially were large, research oriented practices that are recognized as Centers of Excellence for spine care.

In 2006 NSN modified its original membership concept and developed an ambitious long term vision. NSN has become a broad-based, multidisciplinary membership organization whose members include both large, academic, research oriented practices and smaller community-based practices.

NSN has developed a sophisticated informatics platform, SpineChart, that allows patients and physicians to use wireless, touch screen technology to record all aspects of patient care.

Within the past year NSN has introduced OrthoChart, which provides similar functionality for physicians who treat shoulder, hip, knee and foot/ankle patients.
